Pacific Bench

I made this bench from western Douglas fir and steel. The brackets brace the wood legs to the steat without any actually wood-to-wood connection. The steel has a peculiar form that appears to split, bend, and softly anchor the wooden parts. The legs pivot outward but remain stable, just as the second largest conifer in the world flexes and stands tall.
